The Park is approximately 4.28 hectares, consists mainly of grass in relation to the rest of the park. There are plans to provide sports facilities,a nursery school and community centre in 2011.
Our aim is to encourage and promote its use for a greater number of events. In these times of increased youth crime, soaring violence and drug abuse our park should be a place where young people, toddlers and parents can go and have fun.
About the Park
Friends of Eton Grove Park is a campaigning group that aims to encourage council investment in the park to bring back lost facilities. We want to create a platform where residents have real and regular influence and are capable of creating change.
We work with our Ward Councillors, Brent Council officers, our PCSO and Local Businesses on Issues in our ward. We are often anonymous rate payers without a real sense of how our money gets spent. Most of us try to be reasonably good citizens but our influence seems very small.
We want to create a powerful vision to change this, creating a community of empowered residents.
Children’s Play Area
The play builder grant funding had made sure the park has had the right environment for our children to indulge their vivid imagination and does provide props for their role-play to ensure they maximise their free play opportunities.
As part of our commitment to promote community cohesion and sustainability. We have got involved in local community activities by taking part, provided volunteers or help organise local events. Below pictures of some of the events and activities in which we have played a part.
